Used Kitchen Oil Theft On The Rise?!?!

“Fryer grease has become gold,” Mr. Damianidis said. “And just over a year ago, I had to pay someone to take it away.”

Much to the surprise of Mr. Damianidis and many other people, processed fryer oil, which is called yellow grease, is actually not trash. The grease is traded on the booming commodities market. Its value has increased in recent months to historic highs, driven by the even higher prices of gas and ethanol, making it an ever more popular form of biodiesel to fuel cars and trucks.

In 2000, yellow grease was trading for 7.6 cents per pound. On Thursday, its price was about 33 cents a pound, or almost $2.50 a gallon. (That would make the 2,500-gallon haul in the Burger King case worth more than $6,000.)

Biodiesel is derived by processing vegetable oil or animal fat with alcohol. It is increasingly available around the country, but it is expensive. With the right kind of conversion kit (easily found on the Internet) anyone can turn discarded cooking oil into a usable engine fuel that can burn on its own, or as a cheap additive to regular diesel.

Wale - The Mixtape About Nothing

Wale - The Mixtape About Nothing
We been waiting for what seems like forever for Wale's new mixtape presented by 10 Deep, The Mixtape About Nothing. But its finally here. The Mixtape About Nothing draws heavily from Seinfeld for inspiration, this can be seen on the first song The Opening Title Sequence where Wale raps over the Seinfeld theme music and every 4 bars asks "What's the deal with..." and the fact that the title of every song starts with "The". Wale brings a breath of fresh air to hip hop which has been rather stale lately. I'm gonna have the entire mixtape on repeat for awhile.

New Era Captain America Fitted Cap

Captain America New Era Fitted
I'm not even a big fan of Captain America but this FRESH. Way better than the Ironman fitted.

Lupe goes GOLD!

LOL @ the over cliche "We're not making music, we are making history". Son you went GOLD going on like its a diamond selling album. Not hating though, I'm a fan of Lupe, I might actually pick this album if I make back to the record store. I didn't even know it dropped yet, I haven't heard any song other than Superstar

Alife x Barneys Soft Pack Kennedy High

Alife Kennedy HighI seen the Alife Kennedy before but it didn't really catch my attention. Inspired by the Clarks Wallabee this version of the Kennedy High created by Alife for Barneys as part of The Soft Hand pack also draws inspiration from a catchers mitt. As a lefty (and non athlete, I take "never ran, never will" to a whole new meaning...) a pair of these is probably the closest I'm ever gonna get to being behind the plate. At $165 these make for the perfect alternative to your classic basketball, hopefully you don't have to knuckle up with Ironman to get a pair.
