Wale Discusses "Attention Deficit"

It's refreshing to hear an artist talk about the process of making an album that is actually a body of work and not a Ringtone Greatest Hits Album

Wale - The Mixtape About Nothing

We been waiting for what seems like forever for Wale's new mixtape presented by 10 Deep, The Mixtape About Nothing. But its finally here. The Mixtape About Nothing draws heavily from Seinfeld for inspiration, this can be seen on the first song The Opening Title Sequence where Wale raps over the Seinfeld theme music and every 4 bars asks "What's the deal with..." and the fact that the title of every song starts with "The". Wale brings a breath of fresh air to hip hop which has been rather stale lately. I'm gonna have the entire mixtape on repeat for awhile.

They Say Hip Hop's Dead, I Believe It's Just The Fans

When is the last time you actually bought an album? I remember waiting every Tuesday for the record store to open to buy 2 albums even if nothing major dropped that week. But I honestly think I haven't even been in the record store since King & Fishscale dropped. I did cop Icon The Mic King & Chum's "Mike and The Fatman" on iTunes but other than that I can't really say I been buying anything.

Maybe Wale is right...

The wait for "The Mixtape About Nothing" is overwelming. Is just one more week I'm sure we'll all survive waiting a little longer.
